<![CDATA[ Gamesradar+ ]]> https://www.gamesradar.com Sat, 07 Sep 2024 10:02:18 +0000 en <![CDATA[ Where to find all eight Bot of War ravens in Astro Bot ]]> The Bot of War ravens in Astro Bot are a hidden collectible of sorts, in that you don't get an in-game reward for finding all of them in unusual places around the God of War themed level and eliminating them with your axe. However, this is a requirement for the Eyes Of The All-Father Trophy, so is an important step on your journey towards the Platinum. While some of these birds are in plain sight, others are more hidden which can make completing the set a tricky task. To help you with that, here are all eight of the Astro Bot Bot of War ravens locations.

There are a total of eight Bot of War ravens to find in Astro Bot, which can be collected in any order but for ease of reference are in the following locations:

 1. On a pillar as you fly in on the Dual Speeder
 2. On a platform above the giant yellow spiked shell
 3. On a stone structure above the large tree turtle
 4. On a ledge to the left of the stone archway
 5. On a high ledge seen from the back of the massive snake
 6. On a ledge beyond the stone archway to the left
 7. Behind the breakable wall beyond the stone archway to the right
 8. Under the huge structure you topple by throwing a log

The first Bot of War raven appears right at the start of the level, while you're flying in on the Dual Speeder. Make sure you tilt the controller left to use the Astro Bot motion controls, so that you pick off the bird sat on top of this pillar. If you miss it, you're best off hitting the Options button and then restating the level, as you're so close to the start and you want to get off on the right foot.

Go to the left of the giant spiked yellow shell in the opening area and smash the ice to reveal a jump pad, then use that to reach the ledge above. Get on top of the shell itself, then look along the cliff to see the bird at the end of the platform. While you're up here, make sure you rescue the Thunder Goddess Bot – one of the many Astro Bot collectibles you'll also be tracking down on this level.

Bot of War Raven 3

After using your axe to trigger a controller cable bridge, jump across to the island on your right and interact with the giant turtle to flip it onto its back. This will give you a clear shot to the Astro Bot raven, perched on a stone structure.

Now go back across the central area towards the pool, and look up on the ledge to the right where the next Bot of War raven is sat.

Continue in this direction, then smash the ice and pull the cable next to the pool to spawn a large horn that will summon Jörmungandr the World Serpent. Climb up the giant snake's back, then look over at the cliffs to see another Astro Bot raven sat high atop them.

Bot of War Raven 6

Return to the main area and go through the archway in the middle, then defeat the bowl monster and look left for the next Bot of War raven perched on a ledge.

Bot of War Raven 7

Now turn around, and behind you on the opposite side of the archway is an ice chunk you can smash to reveal a jump pad. Bounce into the air, then use your axe to smash through the walls of ice in front of you so you can reach a hidden area. Inside you'll find another Bot of War raven flying around with a severed Bot head, so take it out to tick another bird off while completing a rescue.

In this area you'll also see a diagram on the wall, confirming how many Astro Bot ravens you've collected so far, in case you need to check on your progress. If you've been following this guide chronologically then the count will go from six to seven when you eliminate the bird by the tree.

Last but not least, continue progressing through the level until you swing a log to topple a stone tower, then reach the base of it via a controller cable bridge. Look underneath the fallen structure, and the final Bot of War raven in Astro Bot will be sat there waiting to be vanquished. Dispose of it, and the Eyes Of The All-Father Trophy will be yours.

<![CDATA[ How to customize your characters in Space Marine 2 ]]> Customizing your Space Marine 2 characters lets you honor your favourite Chapter, show your skills with fancy gear, and create entirely unique looks, but it’s a complicated process. The Battle Barge’s Armouring Hall is where to go for all your fashion-hammer needs but Space Marine 2 doesn’t make things easy, requiring you to unlock colors, emblems, and individual armor pieces by spending Requisitions or completing challenges. To help you create some outfits befitting of the God-Emperor’s finest, I’ve laid out how Space Marine 2 armor customization works below.

Space Marine 2 armor customization explained

Space Marine 2 armor customization armouring hall

Before you start customizing your armor, make sure you’re in either of the Space Marine 2 multiplayer modes, Operations or Eternal War, and are on the Battle Barge, then head to the Armouring Hall and interact with Galeo, just like you would in the campaign. Here you can scroll between each of the six Space Marine 2 classes and choose the “Edit Armour” option to begin changing the look of their armor.

It’s important to note that Operations and Eternal War have separate Space Marine 2 customization, so, for example, your Tactical Marine’s armor style and Chapter colors in Operations will not transfer to your Eternal War Tactical Marine, so you either have to recreate the outfit or can create something different.

Now that you’re editing your chosen class’s armor, you’ll see two headings at the top that represent the two major stages of customizing your characters in Space Marine 2. Here’s how they work as well as the Heraldry shop where you unlock most cosmetics:

Armour Sets in Space Marine 2

Space Marine 2 armor customization armor sets preview

These determine the visual shape and style of your Space Marine’s armor. Most sets consist of individual pieces, and you can unlock an entire set by completing Operations or winning Eternal War matches. Note that some armor sets are entirely fixed and can’t be customized at all, such as Champion skins.

Space Marine 2 armor customization custom armor set

At the bottom, you’ll also find four slots for custom armor sets which let you mix and match all the armor pieces you’ve unlocked to create your own unique looks that you can easily switch between. You can change the follow parts of your Space Marines’ armor:

 • Helm
 • Pauldrons (left and right)
 • Breastplate
 • Backpack
 • Wargear
 • Gauntlets (left and right)
 • Greaves (left and right)

Astartes Chapters in Space Marine 2

This is where you pick the color scheme for your Space Marine based on the existing Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes, from classic Ultramarines, Dark Angels, and Space Wolves to the more obscure Storm Giants, Minotaurs, and Omega Marines. However, each of these Chapter schemes is made of a Chapter emblem for the left shoulder some other cosmetics, and you must buy each of those via the Heraldry sub-menu before you can equip the entire Chapter scheme. When you do equip the Chapter scheme, it applies all the special heraldry rules for you as well to complete the look.

As with the Armor Sets tab, you’ll find four custom slots under the Astartes Chapters. This is where you can create “rules” for a custom color scheme that you can freely apply to any of your armor sets. You start with a “General Rule” that determines the following:

 • Pattern: The style of your Space Marine’s color scheme. It could be one solid color over all the armor two colors split vertically, for example.
 • Colour: Primary, secondary, and tertiary slots for all the colors you have unlocked. Primary is the main armor color, secondary applies if you have chosen a special pattern, and tertiary is for trim and special details.
 • Emblem: The Chapter icon that goes on your marine’s left pauldron.
 • Emblem Colour: Primary, secondary, and tertiary slots to determine the Chapter icon’s colors, though it’s unlikely you’ll ever have to use all three slots.

After this, you can start adding custom rules for specific armor pieces that override the General Rule. Click the “add” button at the bottom, then pick an armor piece that you want to change the appearance of. Now you can choose the pattern and colors that will apply to only this armor piece.

Heraldry in Space Marine 2

Space Marine 2 customization heraldry options space wolves

This is essentially the paint and decal shop for customizing your Space Marines. Either select a Chapter in the Astartes Chapters screen or press the Heraldry icon to reach this menu. Here you can spend Requisitions on unlocking your chosen Chapter’s emblem, then whatever else that follows, such as color packs, company markings, other emblems, and unique armor pieces. Everything you unlock using Requisitions is available to all six classes and across both Operations and Eternal War, so there’s no need to double dip.

Heraldry is also divided into three sections: “Astartes Heraldry” for all the recognizable Chapters, “Heretic Astartes” for Chaos Space Marine warbands, and “Unknown Foundings” for lesser-known Chapters. Paid cosmetic packs, such as the Ultramarines Cosmetic Pack, unlock additional sections of the Heraldry menu, allowing for even more customization.

Customizing Heretic Astartes in Space Marine 2

Space Marine 2 customization for heretic astartes

When you’re editing your appearance in Eternal War mode, you can toggle between altering the Adeptus Astartes and Heretic Astartes versions of each class. However, you can change only the colors and heraldry for Heretic Astartes characters as they don’t get any Armor Sets, so you can’t customize their armor style.

From the Heraldry menu, you can unlock and equip the warband colors and emblems of six Chaos warbands: Alpha Legion, Black Legion, Iron Warriors, Night Lords, World Eaters, and Death Guard. As with the Adeptus Astartes, you can also create custom color schemes using the slots below, letting you freely change the colors and heraldry using what you’ve unlocked. For example, you could dress your Alpha Legion-armored Sniper in Ultramarine colors and heraldry for the ultimate disguise.

<![CDATA[ How to use Astro Bot Photo Spots and Strike A Pose! ]]> Astro Bot Photo Spots can be confusing, as it's likely you'll discover them before you know how to use them. These humorous cut-out prop boards appear early in your adventure but you won't know what to do with them – they clearly do something as the camera pans in and characters around you react when you stand behind them, plus if you've had a scan through the Astro Bot Trophy list then you'll be wondering how to earn the Strike A Pose! Trophy. However, you'll need to unlock the right tool for the job before you can officially start taking pictures. To explain the process, here's how to get the camera and take a picture at a Photo Spot in Astro Bot.

How to get the camera for Astro Bot Photo Spots

Unlocking the Safari Park for Astro Bot Photo Spots

To get the camera for Astro Bot Photo Spots, you need to open the Safari Park on the Crash Site hub planet with the Puzzle Pieces that form part of the Astro Bot collectibles. This is the fourth construction you'll unlock in this way, following the Gatcha Lab, Dual Speeder Garage, and Changing Room containing all of your Astro Bot outfits, which means you'll need to find a total of 64 Puzzle Pieces to reach this point. If you've been 100% completing levels as you go, including the Lost Galaxy and searching the Crash Site, then you should have enough around the time that you can smash the lock in Serpent Starway.

With the Safari Park open, head inside and you'll be presented with the camera, which can then be activated at any time by pressing up on the d-pad. Move ahead to the marked area, then tap up on the d-pad and take a photo with R2 to unlock the Strike A Pose! Trophy. From this point onwards, the camera will appear whenever you discover a cut-out prop board to stand behind, and if you take a photo then you'll receive some bonus coins – the pictures will also be automatically saved to your Media Gallery, so you can view them there later.

<![CDATA[ Beetlejuice Beetlejuice post-credits scene: Does the sequel have a post-credits scene? ]]> The long-awaited comedy horror sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has finally arrived on the big screen. Back in Winter River, the Deetz family are mourning the loss of Charles Deetz, but before long The Ghost With the Most is summoned and causes chaos once again. The movie welcomes back original cast members Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, and Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz, alongside new faces Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz, Willem Dafoe as Wolf Jackson, and Monica Bellucci as Beetlejuice’s wife.

As you might expect from the sequel we have been waiting almost 40 years for, there is plenty to unpack, but does that include a post-credits scene? As an audience, we have learned to stay past the credits to see if we can get one final squeeze out of a movie, and it seems like these days most blockbusters have at least one post-credits scene, whether it's a tease for another movie or simply another gag.

We've got everything you need to know about the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice post-credits right here, so you can be sure if it's worth sticking around until the cinema lights come back on.

Does Beetlejuice Beetlejuice have a post-credits scene?

Willem Dafoe as Wolf Jackson in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

No, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice does not have a post-credits scene. This isn't particularly surprising, as the whole post-credits scene trend isn't really Burton’s style, and the original movie didn't have one either. This is probably down to the fact the post-credits tease is a relatively new thing saved for Marvel movies and big franchises.

However, although there is no post-credits scene as such, we do get a rather strange dream sequence at the end of the movie which almost acts as a credit cookie. In Lydia’s nightmare, which we delve into in our Beetlejuice Beetlejuice ending explained, she dreams of Astrid giving birth to a baby Beetlejuice and then wakes up inside another dream lying next to Beetlejuice. Weird, right?

The lack of a post-credits scene could be down to the fact that there is no Beetlejuice 3 on the horizon at this time, so there is nothing to tease. In an interview with Total Film Magazine, the director didn't seem too keen on a wider Beetlejuice franchise. "I hope for the best, really. I just feel good this was done in the spirit and feeling of the original,” said Burton.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice ending explained (spoilers)

The ending pretty much kicks off when Astrid and Lydia escape the afterlife and head to the church in Winter River where Lydia’s wedding to partner Rory is supposed to take place at midnight on Halloween night. Inside is the Priest and a bunch of influencers all holding up their phones, all invited by Rory. But before the ceremony can take place, the Ghost with the Most shows up with Delia to claim his bride, and in a bid for privacy, Beetlejuice causes the guest’s faces to be sucked into their phones. Rory kicks up a fuss, but Beetlejuice injects him with truth serum, and Lydia’s greasy boyfriend soon reveals he was only with her for the money and fame her ghost-hunting business brought.

With Beetlejuice in his original wedding suit and Lydia in her memorable red frock, the wedding that has been on hold for almost 40 years ensues. The movie then perfectly plays homage to the iconic dinner party scene in the original 1988 movie where Barbara and Adam made the guests dance and sing to Day-O by Harry Belafonte. Beetlejuice possesses Astrid, Lydia, Delia, and The Priest, and together they all lipsync to MacArthur Park by Richard Harris. As the lyric "All the sweet, green icing flowing down, someone left the cake out in the rain" plays, a giant Beetlejuice-themed wedding cake oozes green icing. Gross.

But, yet again, it looks like Betelgeuse won't get his happy ever after all as Willem Dafoe’s ex-actor turned dead afterlife detective Wolf Jackson breaks into the church with his Blue Boys, ready to take Delia and Beetlejuice back to the afterlife where they belong. Wanting to get on with the I do’s, Beetlejuice freezes the officers, but just as he does, his ex-wife breaks through the door, claiming that his soul belongs to her. Now, it looks like the ghoul is really in for it, but remembering their time in the sand dunes, Astrid and Lydia draw a door on the floor and knock three times, opening up a portal to the afterlife. From there, a sandworm jumps out, swallowing Beetejuice’s wife and Rory whole.

Now, with two of the baddies down, there is only one to go. Astrid, Lydia, and Delia all band together and call the ghost's name three times, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice." He quickly swells up like a giant balloon and pops, leaving fragments of him on the floor. The police officers unfreeze and Wolf Jackson claims victory for himself. Delia is taken back to the afterlife and Astrid and Lydia are now free to live out their lives, happily together. In a scene quite similar to the opening one, Lydia is back on her wicker chair hosting her ghostly show. But this time she announces she is retiring as an on-screen medium to spend more time with her daughter.

Before the credits roll, we get a glimpse of life after Beetlejuice as Astrid and Lydia take a trip to visit Bran Castle (Dracula’s castle) in Transylvania, Romania. Whilst there, Astrid meets and falls in love with a man dressed as a vampire. In a flash the two are married and expecting a baby, all while Lydia watches on. But to her mother’s horror, Astrid gives birth to a baby Beetlejuice, the same one we saw earlier in the movie. The tot proceeds to murder a doctor and crawl up the walls and ceiling chasing a fly, finally biting a lightbulb and exploding. Suddenly, Lydia wakes up in bed from the terrible nightmare but has Beetlejuice lying beside her, presumably now her husband. Nope, that was a dream too, as Lydia wakes again, but now in her own bed, alone. Phew!

How did Lydia and Astrid escape from the afterlife?

After Atrid is duped by her new boyfriend slash serial killer into entering the afterlife to trade her life for his, the teen seems to be heading for her end as she is dragged away to the Soul Train by afterlife employees. But her mother saves her and the two head for an emergency exit. However, the door leads them to Sandworm territory, but luckily Astrid’s dad opens a door to the sandy planet and pulls them into a storage cupboard. After sharing a heart-touching reunion with their long-lost dad and partner, the two go up a secret ladder to the real world and head for the church.

Is Beetlejuice dead, for good?

Michael Keaton as Betelgeuse in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

After that turbulent final scene and rather weird dream sequence, you may be wondering - is Beetlejuice actually dead? And not just dead like he already is, we mean dead dead, like no coming back. As mentioned earlier in the flick, when you die in the afterlife, you die for good. In the movie we see many dead people in the afterlife die this way such as Danny DeVito’s character and the bio-excorcist's right-hand man Bob.

But, as we know, The Juice seems pretty indestructible. He can spin his head all the way around, take on all different forms, and is often referred to as a demon rather than a ghost, so we are unsure if he can actually die. When he bursts at the end of the movie, it does seem like he may have died for good. But there is a possibility he has just been banished to the afterlife yet again. In the first movie, he is banished by Lydia and co who all chant his name three times. As the same happens in the sequel too, the ghoul could just be back in his underworld office right now running his bio-exorcist business as usual. We guess we’ll have to wait for a third movie to see if The Juice shakes loose again.

What's up with Lydia’s weird dream?

Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

We can't be the only ones who thought that dream was real for a second, right? Lydia's dream, or rather nightmare, starts out with the mother and daughter duo taking a trip to Dracula’s castle. But things really get weird when Astrid rather abruptly gets married and all of a sudden is pregnant with a baby Beetlejuice. Luckily this all turns out to be a dream, as well as the mini dream Lydia has about waking up next to her new hubby Beetlejuice. But this does make us wonder if this means The Juice is still lurking around, as he is showing up in Lydia’s dreams just as he was appearing in visions just before he was summoned again. Could this hint at a possible Beetlejuice 3? We hope so!

What happened to Astrid's dad?

Jenna Ortega as Astrid in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

When Astrid ventures into the afterlife, she finally gets to see her late dad, Richard, who died years earlier in the jungle. Richard makes contact with Astrid and Lydia when he saves them from the Sandworm. Afterwards he tells them both he has been watching over them the whole time, and says his goodbyes as they leave for the real world. This is the last we see of Richard, but we presume he is still in the underworld. Maybe now he has shown himself, and now that Astrid is a confirmed medium like her mother, he may visit them as a spirit.

What happened to Delia?

Catherine O'Hara as Delia in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

One of the most shocking twists in the movie had to be Delia’s demise. When performing a ritualistic offering to her late husband Charles, the artist holds up two defanged snakes she had shipped over. But the catch is, Delia was ripped off and they were never really defanged, so when they bit her, she died.

But whilst in her own personal hell, waiting in line in The Neitherworld Waiting Room, she calls Beetlejuice to help her escape and attends Lydia’s makeshift wedding to the ghoul. However, as she is now sadly dead, Wolf Jackson takes her back to the afterlife, where she there meets up with her late husband. But that's not before the pair promise to visit, or rather haunt, Lydia and Astrid in the real world. We can hear her ghostly complaining now.

Do Barbara and Adam make a cameo?

Adam and Barbara in Beetlejuice

After many fans wondered if the original movie’s main characters Barbara and Adam Maitland, played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin, would make an appearance in the sequel, it sadly hasn't come true. Besides the Adam and Barbara figurines in the model in the opening credits, no, the two do not appear in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. It was confirmed in casting news and the trailer that the second movie would not revolve around the couple, which makes sense due to the time difference between the two movies, and the fact that ghosts don't age. But fans still held out hope for the two popping up, even if just for a minute.

The only mention of the Maitlands is when Lydia tells Astrid of the ghost couple she used to see in the attic. But when Astrid asks where they are, she replies "they found a loophole and they moved on," suggesting they made their way into the great unknown.

<![CDATA[ All Space Marine 2 classes and how they work ]]> The Space Marine 2 classes are varied, letting you fulfil your Astartes fantasies with tactical weaponry, jump pack assaults, or heavy-weapon devastation. These classes are used in both Operations and PVP and are highly customizable, letting you swamp weapons to create unique loadouts, pick perks to bolster your Xenos-killing powers, and alter your appearance through armor and Chapter color customizations. It’s quite a lot to take in, so I’ve detailed the basics of all six Space Marine 2 classes below to help you understand how they all work in the game.

You might also want to look at our
Space Marine 2 tips to ensure your slaughtering skills are up to par.

All Space Marine 2 classes explained

Space Marine 2 features six classes which you can pick to use in PVE Operations and PVP Eternal War once you’ve unlocked Space Marine 2 co-op. Just remember you can’t have more than one of the same class in Operations and need a varied squad to cover all threats:

 • Tactical: Generalist soldier that can wield all sorts of weapons.
 • Assault: Melee-focused class with a Jump Pack for aerial manoeuvres.
 • Vanguard: Close-range specialist that can grapple towards enemies.
 • Bulwark: Defensive support class that carries a shield.
 • Sniper: Long-range specialist that can go invisible.
 • Heavy: Hulking heavy weapons specialist.

Unlike Titus’ relatively broad weapon selection in the campaign, most of these classes have a narrow selection of weapons to choose from, but also get unique class abilities to help slay Tyranids, end heretics, or support their teammates. Additionally, you can substantially customize your Space Marine 2 characters and can create three different weapon loadouts to cover a number of combat situations.

In Operations, each class also gets their own perk tree to work through as they level up by earning XP, helping you lean into certain aspects of the class, better support your team, and further improve your abilities – though you need to unlock perks by spending Requisitions. You’ll come across drop pods during Operations that allow you to change loadout mid-mission too. To help you learn how each class works, you can also undertake Trials in the Armouring Hall. Each class has three of these short combat challenges to complete, dishing out resources needed to unlock more customization options.

In Eternal War, Space Marine 2’s PVP mode, the perk trees are gone and most gear is locked behind your Veterancy Level – earn XP by playing matches to up your level and therefore unlock new wargear. However, you can also choose a grenade for each of your three loadouts and the Bulwark and Heavy classes also have extra armor. You also get separate armor customization from your Operations classes and gain additional Heretic Astartes look for when you’re playing as Chaos Space Marines in matches.

The Heavy is the only Space Marine 2 class to not get a melee weapon, but they’re also the only one that can wield heavy weapons, such as the Multi-Melta, and can protect themselves from ranged attacks using their Iron Halo.

 • Primary weapons: Heavy Bolter, Heavy Plasma Incinerator, Multi-Melta
 • Secondary weapons: Bolt Pistol, Plasma Pistol
 • Melee weapons: None, but can beat enemies with their primary weapon
 • Class ability: Iron Halo – A protective barrier that surrounds you, blocking enemy projectiles, and can be deactivated early for a shorter cooldown
 • Armor Class: 3 Armor bars

<![CDATA[ How long is Astro Bot? ]]> If you want to know how long Astro Bot is, then I've been playing it and can give you a solid idea of the amount of time it will take to beat, whether you're looking for a fun adventure or going for the full completionist experience. With previous instalment Astro's Playroom being a rather short (albeit free) affair, it's understandable that you may have concerns about the length of the storyline and overall longevity of Astro Bot, but I'm happy to report that this is a much more robust outing with more than 50 planets to explore. If you're curious about how long you'll need to commit, then these are the Astro Bot lengths you should be considering depending on your approach to this space adventure.

How long to beat Astro Bot?

The amount of time it will take you to beat Astro Bot will largely depend on what you plan to get out of it, and whether you just want to experience the story or go for the full Platinum completion. As a rough outline for its length:

 • 10-12 hours for just the main story with minimal collectibles
 • 15 hours for a standard playthrough and some extras
 • 18-20 hours for 100% completion and all Trophies unlocked

Naturally these durations will vary depending on skill level, and how easily you get distracted by the many side quests and optional extras you can play around with. It should be noted that while you don't need to find all of the Astro Bot collectibles in order to complete the story, you can't skip over them entirely as you need to reach a minimum number of Bots in your crew to progress past certain barriers – and ultimately you must have rescued 200 of the 305 Bots before you can take on the final boss fight.

To reach 100% completion, it's likely that you'll be replaying plenty of levels to find any missing collectibles, which will add to your time even if you're using the helper bird to flag those hidden items. You may also end up replaying more levels to earn enough coins to completely empty the gatcha machine on the Crash Site hub planet, so you can unlock all of the Bot interactions, Speeder paint jobs, Astro Bot outfits, and more. Finally, there are various miscellaneous Trophies to tick off and unlock the Platinum, which involve completing challenges on certain levels or having interactions with specific PlayStation Icon Bots at the Crash Site, and while time-consuming none of these are too difficult.

<![CDATA[ How does Space Marine 2 crossplay work? ]]> With Space Marine 2 crossplay, you can join up to battle the ravenous Tyranids and forces of Chaos with friends, regardless of which platform they’re on. With no account linking or in-game friends lists, Space Marine 2 has a very simple crossplay system, requiring you to share a short code with your friends that gets them into your Battle Barge lobby. Here’s everything you need to know about how crossplay in Space Marine 2 works, including how to invite friends and what the limitations are.

Space Marine 2 crossplay explained

Space Marine 2 crossplay lets Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC players (Steam and Epic Games Store) join each other’s squads and matchmake together for co-operative campaign missions and Operations. Be aware that for the Eternal War PVP mode, crossplay is enabled for Xbox and PS5 players only, which means PC players can’t match with console players. Obviously, to play with any other players, regardless of their platform, you need to unlock Space Marine 2 multiplayer, though there’s a good chance you’ve already done this.

To invite fellow Battle-Brothers on different platforms to your squad via crossplay, follow the “Edit Squad” button prompt in the top-right corner of your screen, and then open the Invite Menu by hovering over the key icon and following the button prompt. This menu displays a short, randomly generated invite code which you need to share with your intended teammates. Your teammates must then enter your code into their own Invite Menus, then they should quickly join your Battle Barge.

Alternatively, you can enter another player’s invite code in your Invite Menu to join their squad. Furthermore, as far as I can tell, you must enter these codes every time you want to join another player via crossplay as there is no in-game friends list system.

If you’re playing the campaign solo, no players can join you unless specifically invited but you must play Operations with other players and you'll have to choose which one of the Space Marine 2 classes you're going to play as . If you don’t have a full squad of three when selecting an Operation, the game will match you with other players using crossplay to get a full team.

Space Marine 2 crossplay is on by default but can be turned off manually under the “Game” tab of the settings menu – you must also be on the main menu for the game and cannot already be in a mission or on the Battle Barge. You can still invite players to your squad through your platform’s friend system by editing your squad and using the “+” icons. Although, bear in mind that when you matchmake in Operations or Eternal War, you will only come up against players of the same platform and may experience longer queue times.

<![CDATA[ How to change Astro Bot outfits and get a new look ]]> Astro Bot outfits let you dress up your lil robot guy in a variety of new looks, which are mainly based on other classic PlayStation characters. While this is a purely cosmetic option, it does add an extra layer of fun to your Astro Bot adventure, but you need to make a decent amount of progress through the game before you can access it. If you're looking for some fresh togs, then here's how to change your outfit on Astro Bot and find new costumes – including the PaRappa Lovestruck Lyricist outfit, Yharnam Hunter outfit, and Golden Outfit from the pre-order and Digital Deluxe Edition.

Where to change Astro Bot outfits

Unlocking The Changing Room for Astro Bot outfits

To change outfits in Astro Bot, you first need to unlock The Changing Room on the Crash Site hub planet. This is done by completing the third jigsaw, which involves finding a total of 48 Puzzle Pieces as part of the Astro Bot collectibles. If you've been 100% completing levels as you go (including the Lost Galaxy), then you should achieve this around the time you finish off the Tentacle System.

With that unlocked, you just need to head inside to see all of the Astro Bot outfits you have available. Approach any of the mannequins, give them a hit, and you'll automatically change into your new outfit.

Once you've unlocked The Changing Room, new Astro Bot outfits will become available through the Gatcha Lab. Outfits are denoted as the golden spheres inside a clear ball, though you don't really get a choice of what comes out next! Additional outfits will be added to the Gatcha Lab over time as you rescue the Bots they relate to, so check back periodically for the latest looks.

<![CDATA[ How to find all Astro Bot collectibles, including Bots, Puzzle Pieces, and Warps ]]> Astro Bot collectibles are a cornerstone of the game, with over 300 Bots to rescue and add to your crew as you work on recovering the stolen parts and rebuilding the Mothership. There are also many Puzzle Pieces to track down, which are used to unlock new features in the Crash Site and the wider game, plus Warps that reveal new planetary levels in the Lost Galaxy. With so much to find in Astro Bot it can all feel a little overwhelming at first, but there's no need to panic! Here are pointers for tracking down those Bots, Puzzle Pieces, and Warps, along with the method to easily find Astro Bot collectibles in any level.

Where to find Astro Bot collectibles

A lot of the Astro Bot collectibles are hidden within the individual planet levels, and when you hover over the planet on the galaxy map you'll see little icons to indicate how many Bots, Puzzle Pieces, and Warps are in that level, which can also be seen when pausing during the level. These icons are shown in chronological order, so if you have a gap between two of them then you can roughly pinpoint the area in the level where your missing collectible(s) are.

Astro Bot collectibles are often hiding in plain sight, so look for items that seem out of place, platforms leading off the main path, breakable walls etc. Make sure you keep an eye out for cracks in the ground like the one above, which you can dig down through by holding then releasing Square to perform a spin attack, as these are usually hiding a collectible underground.

Spend some time flying around the galaxy map as collectibles in Astro Bot can also appear there, so you may need to use Boost to chase down a rogue Bot or Puzzle Piece. There are additional planets that can be spawned by ramming asteroids that will also contain collectibles, so if you've 100% completed all of the main levels and are still short then that will be why.

Don't overlook the Crash Site hub planet as a source of Astro Bot collectibles, as there are Puzzle Pieces floating around the place and additional Bots to rescue. For some of these you'll need a minimum number of Bots rescued already to perform the required action, so look out for the floating markers that will turn blue when your crew is big enough to use them. The Crash Site is also where you'll find the Astro's Playroom Special Bots, if you unlocked them through Astro's previous adventure.

How to easily find Astro Bot collectibles

If you've followed the pointers above but are still struggling to 100% complete a level then fret not, as there is a way to easily find Astro Bot collectibles. Replay any level that you've already completed, and at the start you'll spot a birdhouse in a capsule. Break the glass, then pull the cable to launch a helper bird, which will fly around the level with you.

The bird will start bleeping when you approach an area with a collectible, pointing you in the right direction and bleeping more frequently the closer you are to it, so you can use it to zero in on each missing item. Using this method does cost 200 coins per level, but the bird can be reused for as many replays of the level that are needed to 100% it at no additional cost, and if you fully complete the level while grabbing as many coins as possible (including those that replace the collectibles you've previously found) then you should earn at least 300-400 coins, so will still have made a tidy profit by the end.
